Farmers' market
The Bowie Farmers' Market is open Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts parking lot. Fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods, jams and jellies, salsa, herbs, fresh cut flowers and bedding plants are featured. For information, call 301-809-3076.

Play center
Bowie Recreation Council will offer summer preschool play sessions for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds at Tulip Grove Elementary School, 2909 Trainor Lane. Session one will be June 23-July 3; two will be July 7-18; and three will be July 21-Aug. 1. Bird walks
Prince George's Audubon Society will host half-day bird walks July 5 and Aug. 2 at 7:30 a.m. at Fran Uhler Natural Area. Meet at the end of Lemon Bridge Road just north of Bowie State University.
Bird walks will also be held at Governor Bridge Natural Area June 21, July 19 and Aug. 16 at 7:30 a.m. Meet at the parking lot.

Silent auction
A silent auction to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Challenge Walk 2008 will be held Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 2503 Belair Drive.
